You have questions…We have the answer. If your question does not get answered on this page please feel free to call us or send a message our way.
Q: What types of payments do you accept?
A: We accept credit cards via Pay Pal. Once you place your order we will type up a invoice just for you and email it to you right away. We also accept cash, but sorry we do not accept checks.
Q: How far in advance should I order my cake or cupcakes?
A: I always say the more notice you can give, the better! When you book a cake with me I make sure I have the time and most importantly the supplies need to complete your project. If some supplies are out of stock at the stores in town, I may have to special order something in order to complete your project the way you have it in mind. So, it is never too early. If it is a last minute booking then please keep in mind we may not be able to get all the items you are requesting.
Q: What do I have to do to book a cake or cupcakes? A: It is as easy as sending us an email. Once we review your email we will call you and iron out all the final details. We will also need at least a 50% down non- refundable deposit due at the time of booking. If the deposit is not put down then we do not consider your project to be booked. The remainder of the balance is due no later than the day of pick up. If the balance is not paid by the time of pick up, you will not receive your project.
Q: Why is a deposit needed?
A: A 50% down deposit is need at the time of booking your project. Your project will not be considered booked until the deposit is put down. When you put that deposit down I set aside any and all time necessary to complete your project. I will also go out and start purchasing the supplies needed.
Q: Why is the deposit non-refundable?
A: Once items are purchased for your project I cannot refund your money for the simple fact a lot of what I buy is non-refundable to me. I do understand things can come up unexpectedly. If items have not been purchased yet, then I will refund your deposit in those unexpected situations.
Q: Do you offer samples?
A: Yes we do. Each type of sample that you would like is $5. Once you make your decision and decide to reserve your special occasion, I will deduct the cost of the samples from your orders total.
Q: When is it too late to make a change to my order?
A: The more notice you can give the better! If items have already been bought or baked and you request a change then you will be charged for those items.
Q: What is the best way to travel with my cake or cupcakes?
A: We recommend setting your items on a large flat surface like a trunk. That area should be cleared from debris that could slide into your items. We also suggest sweeping out the area before arriving to pick your project up. I will provide you with a non-slip mat for you to put under your items. However that does not mean your items will not slide around if you have to stop quickly or if you take a turn to sharply. I also suggest thinking about the route that you will travel and try to avoid areas with pot holes, speed bumps and train tracks. Keeping your distance from the car that is in front of you is also a good idea. My husband and I joke; that when we have a cake in the car, we drive like we did when we were bringing home our new born from the hospital. Kaley Cakes cannot be held liable for your items once they are in your possession. We will make sure the structural integrity is done correctly. It is up to you to take it to the destination safely.
Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: We can offer delivery for a $20 fee here in the Columbus or Blacklick Area. Anywhere outside of that there may be a slight extra cost.
Q: What if someone who is attending the party has allergies to food
A: We will do our very best to make sure if you have someone with allergies attending your party, we will keep your items as free from those items as possible. But it is very important that you communicate that with us at the time of booking. If you do not communicate that with us we can not be held responsible.
